Personalized Field Instruction

One-on-One Personalized Instruction is clearly the best way to fast-track learning Landscape Photography.

Workshops are a blast for many reasons, but they are not the most economical way to learn. It’s difficult to get your personal questions answered in depth.

And the ability of an instructor to get a real sense of who you are and how to best help is limited.

Private Instruction is all about you. About forwarding your vision and helping you create a body of work that earns trust and attention.

I love simplifying complex concepts in the field. And we’ll concentrate on whatever you like; exposure value juggling, “floating” depth of field, understanding how to leverage sensor design, color & compositional theory, and/or if you’re interested, advanced compositing and optimization practices. All in the locations of your choosing.

We will discuss beforehand how much time you want to spend in the field vs. digging into post-processing in a more comfortable setting and/or exploring or even road trip logistics or night photography. I was a certified Navy Diver and Recon Battalion photographer and have loads of field experience to share.

Whatever you are hungry to learn I am anxious to share.

2023 rates are $900 for the first 24 hour period, $600 for the second and $300 for each day after that.
*For a few of the more distant destinations (from San Diego county) I ask a small travel fee for fuel.
